Garment Labels

CARE LABELS are required for most clothing sold in the United States They also appear on many household items. These labels
often present care instructions in symbolic form. We hope that this symbol guide will be of use to you.

WE ENCOURAGE its use not only in caring for your clothing but in evaluating both garments and household items that you are thinking of purchasing. Please be aware, however, that care labels are not infallible and that many symbols imply the need for special handling. Further, symbols relate to the basic garment, and not necessarily to trim, buttons, etc.

AS WITH ALL THINGS, do not assume. If you think that a garment is questionable, please call us immediately!
