on many household items. These labels often present care instructions in symbolic form. We hope that this symbol guide will be of use to you. |

for your clothing but in evaluating both
garments and household items that you are
thinking of purchasing. Please be aware,
however, that care labels are not infallible
and that many symbols imply the need for
special handling. Further, symbols relate to
the basic garment, and not necessarily to
trim, buttons, etc.
